Press Release: James Cumming new Shadow Minister for COVID-19 Economic Recovery

OTTAWA ­– The Hon. Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives and of the Official Opposition, announced a shuffle in the Conservative Shadow Cabinet for the second session of the 43rd Parliament.

 

Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre, James Cumming was appointed as the Shadow Minister for COVID-19 Economic Recovery, leaving his position as the Shadow Minister for Innovation, Science and Industry.

 

MP Cumming is a proven leader who is excited to put his 35 years of business experience and community involvement to work towards Canada’s economic recovery. MP Cumming has said he will spend his time in his new portfolio continuing to serve his constituents of Edmonton Centre as well as holding the Liberal Government to account.

 

“Serving as the Shadow Minister for Innovation, Science and Industry has been an incredible experience, wherein I have enjoyed standing up for industries across the country and advocating for necessities like rural broadband. MP Cumming said “Our Party has made it clear that the main focus must be on Canada’s economic recovery and how we are going to successfully rebuild out of this pandemic.”
